SunYoung Park

Orchestral Studies Program Administrator

SunYoung Sunny Park, currently employed within the Orchestral Studies Program (OSP), assumes the role of assistant to the Director of Orchestral Studies, dedicated to facilitating the smooth operation of all facets of Stanford University's orchestral program and concerts. She has graduated The Juilliard School (BM, MM) and Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University (DMA) in music composition. In addition to her responsibilities at Stanford's OSP, Dr. Park also pursues a multifaceted career as a composer, arranger, and educator. She maintains a private studio for composition and music theory lesson. Furthermore, she remains actively engaged in music composition for various concert performances and publishes her compositions, particularly in the realm of choral music. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Dr. Park is deeply involved in the management of two non-profit music organizations, (www.aanmi.org/ www.internationalsaxophoneacademy.com). Her unique blend of administrative and compositional expertise contributes to the enrichment of the Stanford community, fostering a harmonious and creative environment for students.
