Noah Fram’s current research investigates categorization in musical and sociological domains, focusing on the development of psychologically-driven algorithms to analyze and predict the development and behavior of emergent musical and sociopolitical genres. Other interests include audio synthesis techniques, beat entrainment, rhythmic or melodic alignment algorithms, and the development of opera and musical theatre in the 19th and 20th centuries. Along with his research, he is a composer and playwright specializing in musical theatre and chamber work, as well as a lighting designer and theatrical carpenter and electrician.
