Utku Asuroglu’s works have been performed at such acclaimed festivals as Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Donaueschinger Musiktage Next Generation, Schleswig Holstein, Manifeste Ircam, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, MATA Festival, Royaumont, ISCM World Music Days, International Tongyeong Music Festival, Essen Europen Capital Culture and the Red Ear festival. Utku Asuroglu was the winner of the Outstanding Artist Award in Composition of the Austrian Federal Ministry 2016, the Musikförderungspreis der Stadt Graz 2014, laureate of the International Gaudeamus Prize 2015, the Goethe Award 2016, the Feeding Music – International Composition Contest (Expo Milano 2015) and for the Goethe Instititute's 2016 Asian Showcase in South Korea

Utku Asuroglu began his musical studies in Istanbul at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSFAU) State Conservatory and holds degrees from the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music, Kunstuniversitat Graz (graduated highest distinction) and studied at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg . His primary teachers include Clemens Gadenstatter, Gérard Pesson, Georg Friedrich Haas, Luc Brewaeys. He is currently a doctoral student at Stanford University.
