Studied Trombone with Alan Ostrander (N.Y. Philharmonic), Edward Kleinhammer (Chicago Symphony), and with Glenn Dodson and Robert S. Harper (Philadelphia Orchestra). Principal Trombonist, the San Francisco Opera (retired). A former member of the NBC Tonight Show Band and Doc Severinsen Orchestras, Dr. Kenley has also performed with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Louis Bellson’s Big Band, Broadway shows, and the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. Recently published articles include “Il Mattaccino: music and dance of the matachin and its role in Italian comedy” and “Orchestral Sectional: the Operas of Giuseppe Verdi, Otello” (ITA Journal).
