John Fath

John Fath is a PhD student in ethnomusicology at Stanford University. He is a musician that plays double bass and piano and has a special fascination with the Fender Rhodes. His research interests surround contemporary jazz fusion styles in the UK, particularly in South London. Particular frameworks for study include racial formations, genre evolution, technology and acoustics, coolness, claims of "jazz," and situation in the historical canon of jazz.
