Christopher East

Christopher East is a PhD student in musicology at Stanford University. He holds a bachelor's degree in double bass performance with a minor in French from the University of Puget Sound. His current research interests are late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century French and Russian ballet music. In particular, he studies the use of ballet as a means of (re)negotiating late Imperial Russian national and international identities.
