Stanford jazz guitar faculty Rick Vandivier appears in this online presentation hosted by the Redwood City Friends of the Library Bookstore.

A Graduate of the Berklee School of Music, Instrumental Performance Arts, Boston, Mr. Vandivier also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Jazz Performance from San José State University. Mr. Vandivier has over thirty years of public appearances with such artists as David Grisman, Richie Cole, Smith Dobson, Albert "Tootie" Heath, John Stowell, Bruce Forman, John Handy, Mose Allison, and Dr. Lonnie Smith. Mr. Vandivier has also worked with the San José Symphony Orchestra, as well as the orchestras of the American Musical Theater of San José, Opera San José, and Theatreworks. In addition, Mr. Vandivier’s work is ongoing with various other Bay Area artist projects, performances and CD productions. Mr. Vandivier has also enjoyed a long association with the Stanford community including several years of teaching at the Stanford Jazz Workshop.
