Eric Tuan highlights gay composers’ choral works

The composer and choral conductor Eric Tuan — currently the Department of Music's Choral Studies Program Administrator, as well as a Music alumnus — is the director of music at Christ Episcopal Church in Los Altos, where he will be presenting the program “Queer Voices” on Sunday, March 19. Tuan's choral group Convivium will perform a range of choral music by LGBTQ composers, with proceeds going to the San Francisco nonprofit Trans Lifeline. Featured composers are Tchaikovsky, Poulenc, Ethel Smyth, Mikko Sidoroff, Meredith Monk, LJ White, Saunder Choi, and Tuan himself. | Read Joshua Kosman's article at SFGATE for more details.
