2026 Concerto Competition Winners

The winners of the 2026 Concerto Competition are saxophonist Zachary Lin and pianist Alex Tordjman. Zachary will perform Joel Love’s Solace: A Lyric Concerto, with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra on May 8 and 9, 2026, in Bing Concert Hall. Alex will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor with the Stanford Philharmonia on May 14, 2026, in Bing Concert Hall. 

Eleven semi-finalists participated in the morning round with six advancing to the finals, all performing at an extremely high level and deserving commendation for their excellent preparation. Sincere thanks and acknowledgment to the superb collaborative pianists; to the instructors of all the participants; to SunYoung Park, Daniel Valdez, and other members of the production team for ably handling the production aspects of the competition; and to the faculty who administered the Preliminary Competitions. We'd also like to thank and acknowledge the outstanding judges of this year's competition, Fred Cohen and Jina Jang.
