Cello

Cello lesson auditions:

Two contrasting solo pieces of the student’s choice, selected to best demonstrate playing level. 

Proficiency requirements:

• Optimally, at least three years of private study; any exceptions to this can be discussed with cvccello [at] stanford.edu (Christopher Costanza) and/or stephenh [at] stanford.edu (Stephen Harrison) directly.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a range of contrasting repertoire from at least two historic compositional periods.
• At least minimal experience performing as soloist, chamber musician, and/or orchestral cellist, in formal and/or informal settings.
