Nathaniel Sloan

Nate Sloan is a PhD candidate in musicology at Stanford University and a Geballe Dissertation Fellow at the Stanford Humanities Center. He also has an AB in music from Brown University. His research interests include jazz, Tin Pan Alley, and urban geography.

Suddhaseel Sen

Suddhaseel Sen completed his doctoral work at Stanford in 2020. His dissertation was on cross-cultural exchanges between Indian and European musicians from the nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries. His doctoral advisors were Prof. Thomas Grey and  Dr. Anna Schultz. Prior to his joining the doctoral program, Suddhaseel arranged Indian music for Western ensembles in India and Canada, in addition to doing academic research in English literature. His research at Stanford was supported by a Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellowship, a Steven and Debra J.
