About this event

Trio Pantoum visits Dinkelspiel Auditorium to perform a special concert for the Stanford community.

Founded in 2016, Trio Pantoum, whose name derives from a Malaysian poetic form, consists of pianist Kojiro Okada, Hugo Meder, violin, and Bo-Geun Park, cello. The young musicians quickly developed an extraordinary symbiosis on and off stage, pursuing their shared passion for chamber music by seeking the ideal balance between interplay and individual expression. They began intensive studies of the chamber music repertoire for strings and piano at the Conservatoire de Paris in 2016, in the prestigious master classes of Trio Wanderer, Claire Désert, Quatuor Ébène and Quatuor Modigliani. Since 2022, they have been Artists in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo, Belgium. In 2021, they won first prize at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna, and in 2023, first prize at the Concours International Musique de Chambre de Lyon. At the 72. Interantional ARD Music Competition the Trio won the third prize.
