About this event

Indian Jazz Journey with Mahesh Kale and George Brooks is a beloved annual celebration of the fusion of Indian classical and Western jazz traditions. Renowned vocalist Mahesh Kale, acclaimed for the depth and beauty of his expressive voice, blends intricate ragas and rhythms with the improvisational essence of jazz. Joining him is saxophonist George Brooks, whose soulful playing and profound understanding of Indian music create a captivating musical dialogue.

This extraordinary collaboration, enriched by stellar guest artists from both traditions, weaves a tapestry of sound that is at once familiar and refreshingly new. Kale’s soaring vocals, paired with the dynamic interplay of Indian instruments and a jazz rhythm section, transport listeners to a space where cultural boundaries dissolve. The result is an immersive experience of mesmerizing melodies, vibrant improvisation, and a heartfelt connection between the artists and the audience.

More than just a concert, this performance is a journey of exploration and innovation—a testament to the boundless possibilities born from open-hearted collaboration across traditions.
