CCRMA Presents: NEKO3 Micro-Workshop with Stanford Graduate Composers

7:30 - 11:30pm
660 Lomita Court, Stanford, CA 94305
CCRMA Stage
The Copenhagen-based experimental music ensemble NEKO3 teams up with six composers from Stanford University – Lemon Guo, Brian Brown, Mike Mulshine, Anna Golubkova, Calvin Van Zytveld, and Mohammad H. Javaheri – for a week of creative workshops culminating in this interactive concert presentation..
The project is a part of the ensemble's Micro-workshop initiative, that aims to create a continuous exchange between the ensemble and the new generations of artists and creative minds of our time. Participating composers and creators are offered a safe, artistically fertile space to test their ideas with open-minded musicians. Said ideas can be anything from embryos to more developed pieces, and interesting ideas and people are prioritized over artistic medium, providing the participants with flexibility to experiment on any ideas that benefit their creative processes at the present.
The visit is kindly sponsored/supported by Stanford University and Art Music Denmark.
