About this event

Artful Design TV (COVID-19 Edition) is an online, multi-format weekly series encompassing artful design, music, coding, and making with helpings of history and philosophy, as well as life check-ins for participants. No experience is needed; it's free, and all are welcome. Artful Design TV is hosted by Ge Wang, Stanford Music professor (Ph.D., Computer Science), as well as a designer, engineer, artist, and co-founder of Smule, maker of the award-winning Ocarina for iPhone.

This week's episode: The topic of the week will be "Virtual Reality" featuring CCRMA's VR Design Lab. We will ponder the emotional life cycle of a plant in Jack Atherton's 12 Sentiments for VR, vibe with Marina Cottrell's VR Foot Piano, and cogitate on the social, musical, and philosophical dimensions of virtual reality.  We will also discuss tools for audio programming in VR.

You can catch up on all previous episodes here.

Please register, and then tune in every Wednesday 1 PM (PDT).
