About this event

ANDERSON x CCRMA: Sound Happenings is a show bridging the auditory and visual worlds of the arts through installations and performances by members of the Stanford Music community, including the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA). The event takes place in the galleries of the Anderson Collection and will feature 8-channel sound installations, generative video works, and performances by composers in the Stanford D.M.A. program. This magical transformation of the museum will inspire dialogue on fixed versus ephemeral art forms; artistic research versus artistic practice; and the connections between science, technology, and art.

Program

5:30-6:30 PM: Installations by Chris Chafe, Rahul Agnihotri, Julie Zhu and Michiko Theurer, Nolan Lem, Mayank Sanganeria, Simona Fitcal, Andrew Watts, Julie Herndon, Doug McCausland, and Trijeet Mukhopadhyay.

6:30-8:00 PM: Performances by Fernando Lopez-Lezcano, Aditya Chander, Andrew Watts, Hassan Estakhrian, Julie Herndon, Stephanie Sherriff, and Constantin Basica.
