Department of Music Summer Studies

150-voice non-auditioned ensemble performing major choral masterworks and choral repertoire from all periods of Western art music. Concert: August 5, 2023 in Bing Concert Hall. Zero unit enrollment option available with instructor permission. See website for policy and procedure. May be repeated for credit for a total of 0 (zero) unit. The Stanford Summer Symphony is open to all members of the Stanford community. Although Stanford students are given priority, the Summer Symphony also welcomes musicians from the local and non-Stanford community.

This year, the Stanford Summer Symphony concert will take place on Friday, July 29th at 7:30 p.m. in Bing Concert Hall.

Rehearsals

The Summer Symphony rehearses Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. in Dinkelspiel Auditorium beginning June 27th and continuing through July 28th. Dress Rehearsal will be July 28th in Bing Concert Hall.
