Intersections is a two-part piece that explores the contrast between day and night in a city setting. The first section explores an urban day, representing each aspect of the city with a different theme. These themes are interrupted by harsh tutti that represents the unpredictable and chaotic nature of the city. The second section explores the nocturnal life of the city. A slower theme reflects the pace of the city at night time, but the same tutti are present, as in the day time — characteristics of a city that never sleeps. — Allan Zhao
