The Friends of Music welcome new members to join the tradition of supporting the Department of Music at Stanford. All membership fees go towards organization administration and event outreach. All scholarship contributions go towards lesson scholarships, student ensemble tour funding, and Music major support for extracurricular summer studies and projects.

*FoM ticket vouchers may only be used at one Department of Music concert for which an admission is charged and seats are available (with the exception of all Stanford Live events). The voucher may be presented at the Box Office to receive an actual ticket for entry. When a full house is expected, voucher holders must wait until just before curtain to receive their free ticket, if they are still available.

We welcome donations at any level. The suggested scholarship donation amounts below are based on the cost of lessons to students. Scholarship donations include membership in Friends of Music. constitute the real cost for student lessons. QUARTERLY SCHOLARSHIP- Music Major ($375)

Provides a quarter of private lesson instruction for a Music major, minor, or graduate student.

  • Thank-you letter from scholarship student
  • Written recognition in departmental programs when student performs

Provides a quarter of private lesson instruction for a Non-Music major
